Mistral High Performance is not recommended for concrete surfaces under a year of age, prefabricated concrete steps, masonry surfaces (stones, bricks, mortar joints), older concrete surfaces with visible aggregate, prefabricated concrete, prestressed, scaled, fissured, eroded or altered by bad weather. Applying this product on an already damaged concrete can accelerate the deterioration of the surface caused by the freezing/unfreezing phenomenon.

Application Rate

To obtain the best results, the application of this product must always be preceded by the two following steps: scraping and shoveling. The recommended quantity for application is from 50 to 100 g/m 2 (About ¼ cup for 10 sq. ft). Spread the ice melter as evenly as possible. Do not apply too much product. Let the crystals penetrate the accumulated snow and ice for a couple of minutes. Remove the melted snow and ice with a shovel or a scraper as soon as the melting action has weakened the ice. Keep away from vegetation and grass. For thicker ice, the application can be repeated.
